  • how’d you like a juicy pork cutlet fried in seasoned breading with fresh arugula and lemon juice?  yeah me, too.  i’d like it a lot.  that with some of my signature bacon & potatoes au gratin.  yummm.


    Top 5 Foods on My Mind Right Now (besides pork cutlets and potatoes au gratin)
    -  chili cheese fries
    -  chili dog
    -  Outback chicken wings (“spicy, biotch!”)
    -  spinach and artichoke dip
    -  Legal Seafood crab cakes


    those crabcakes…  i know Legal isn’t the best place but they are not stingy with the lump crabmeat.  giant chunks of sweet crabmeat….


    i have an idea that the fries in chili cheese fries should be fried twice in order to get the maximum crispiness necessary to fight off the inevitable sogginess that happens when you dump chili on them. 


    Homemade Mac N Cheese (from scratch, biotch!)
    -  boil water and cook the pasta.  make sure you use pasta with lots of surface area like twisted shapes.  elbows work well.  rotinis, too. 
    -  heat up some milk in the microwave oven so that it’s a little warmer than warm
    -  in a separate pot, over low heat melt a good chunk of butter and drop in an equal amount of flour.  (maybe a little less flour).  mix it up and cook the mixture (roux) for a short while over low heat.  don’t let it get brown.
    -  add the hot milk a little bit at a time while stirring.  add enough milk to make the mixture a liquid.  still over low heat.  this is called a “bechamel” now. 
    -  add a tiny bit of nutmeg and some salt.  i also like to add cayenne pepper and maybe a little tabasco.  heat that for a few minutes while the bechamel thickens. 
    -  add digusting amounts of cheese until you get the consistency you want. 
    -  mix with the cooked pasta and you’re done, bitch!

    you can add shit to it like broccoli and (what else?) bacon to make it more yummy.  if you like this, you’ll love…


    The Next Level of Breakfast Cereal
    -  add dry cereal to your bowl.  i like to use a mixture of a granola cereal and anything, just for consistency.  mostly wheat cereals, none of that Apple Jacks stuff. 
    -  pour milk in about 3/4 high.
    -  in a fry pan fry up about 8 slices of bacon…


    heheh. just kidding.  cereal is cereal, dumbass.  just eat it the normal way.

  • odd, i’ve had an insatiable craving for both pork and crabcakes.  and then you had to mention both. didn’t help the cause.  thanks.  by the way, what your thoughts on cereal and milk?  meaning, are you a pour the milk before the cereal kinda person or pour the cereal and then the milk.  (i like milk before cereal – i find my cereal bites tend to get less soggy)

  • hahahaha it wasn’t highest on the list of priorities….it was the first thing i thought of/been contemplating for a couple of days….the korean stuff i thought of today!!  but alas i chose the lasagna bc the other places are a bit far and i have too much work to leave for that long….pick up or not….  maybe another day…

    i just had food tasting for lunch (a caterer we work for came in with shit load of food for us to try).  jealous yet?

    anyway, i wish i can tell you what we ate.  i’m not too sure actually. it had caviar, smoked salmon, etc.  it’s all very chi-chi-foo-foo(is that how you spell it? *shrug*).  i don’t care, it looked really good and it’s free so i ate it.
